Ralph Shanyfelt Obituary

Mr. Ralph W. Shanyfelt of Pinehurst passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in FirstHealth Moore Regional at the age of 83.

Ralph was born in Waukegan, Illinois on September 29, 1936 to the late Murl and Jennie Jarc Shanyfelt. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding his horse. Ralph moved to Florida to work on a Golf Course which brought him eventually to Pinehurst, NC 27 years ago where he worked at the Pinehurst Resort for several years until he retired. He enjoyed Opera Music and Wylan Jennings, who he followed all over the country. HIs big love was Anna Netrebko who he adored. Ralph was a really funny, entertaining, true gentleman who will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Dade, and Larry Shanyfelt.

He is survived by one sister Ruth Ann Vlcek; two nieces Lori Hernandez and Lisa Chapman; and his dear friend, Conny Jackson.

The family will have a private gathering at a later date.
