Ernest Jeffrey Netherly, Jr.

Mr. Ernest Jeffrey Netherly, Jr. of Aberdeen passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Duke Hospital at the age of 68.

Ernest or Junior, as he was affectionately called, was born in Moorehead, KY, on November 11, 1951, to Ernest Jeffrey Netherly, Sr. and Audrey Thomas Netherly. Junior worked for many years in construction and lived a simple man's life. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, always supporting his family. Junior enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. Many of his closest friends referred to him as the "Great White Hunter" because of his love for hunting and fishing. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Linda Netherly of the home; his daughter, Tonya Hamilton of Aberdeen; his sons, Damion Netherly of Aberdeen, Jacoby Hamilton of Hoffman; his siblings, Daisy, Pat, Lana, Bo, and Gary; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020, in the Stickland Family Cemetery. 

Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Aberdeen.
