Darnell Morgan

Darnell Morgan of Aberdeen passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the age of 62.

Darnell was born in Robeson County on November 29, 1958. Darnell attended Hoke County Schools. Following graduation, Darnell found his calling driving trucks across America. He enjoyed horseback riding and fishing. During the '70s, Darnell took his passion for music one step further and became a DJ at the Sandspur in Raeford. His family will miss his joyful spirit. Darnell had a passion for gardening, as well as tending to his Koi pond. He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Brewer.

He leaves behind his wife, Shannon of Aberdeen; his children, Darnell Frances Morgan, Kenneth Daniel Morgan, Christopher Darnell Morgan, and Christal Oocha; his sister, Alice F. Morgan, Lora Ann Sampson; his brothers, James Earl Morgan, Walter Morgan, Jackie Brewer, Jerry Sampson; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Crumpler Funeral Home-Aberdeen, between the hours of 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
